Just a normal week around here, worked on the shop, packed stuff, went to the post office a few times etc. Wandered around and found more auction stuff, it's time start to moving out the heavier items that I don't want to have to ship, postage rates are crazy especially due to the fact that we sell more to the west coast than we do to the east coast. And move out the flea market type stuff before it gets cold here in N.J.

Going to head for the flea market in the morning and see what I can buy, not setting up as I gotta load up the truck for Saturdays auction, sometimes it's like a jigsaw puzzle but I'll make it all fit. Saturdays auction looks like it's gonna be pretty full.

Oh, yeah we went and bought a storm door for the porch (closed in), was on sale and I still have a few weeks to put it on.

Lorimer Liquors, Brooklyn NY, Advertising Thermometer
Vintage advertising themometer from Lorimer Liquors, 566 Lorimer Street, Brooklyn, N.Y. Cor. Metropolitan Avenue, 'You Ring - We Bring'. Top half is a mirror. Metal frame is 6-1/8 x 8-1/4 inches. Nice average condition.

Vintage Gillette 'Old Type' three piece safety razor, silver plated. Originally used three hole blades but regular double edge blades fit. Has small tight split in barrel of handle which is fairly common in these razors. Razor in average used condition, some plating wear.

Pocket Radiolocical Dosimeter,CD V-138, Bendix
Vintage CD V-138 Pocket Radiolocical Dosimeter. During the Cold War years of 1955 through 1965, the U.S. Civil Defense Administration contracted with various suppliers to manufacture all types of radiation detection devices. This dosimeter was probably made in 1964 and is a pocket pen type dosimeter which has a scale marked 0-200 milliroentgens. The pen is 4 1/2" long, about 1/2" in diameter and has a window at one end. In the original box Made by Bendix. Neat collectible.
