Hey, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays etc. etc. and etc.

Okay, I guess the idea of posting to the blog on a schedule is not going to happen. To many things going on and not enough hours in the day or days in the week. So back to the whenever schedule, more like me anyway.

Been busy with last minute Christmas shoppers and such. Been to the post office a lot this week, like everyday.
Plus getting stuff ready for the New Year's Day auction.

Also working on transfering one of the shops over to a new setup. It will be easier to keep up, add items etc. Plus have some extra features. But it will take some doing to transfer the info in the beginning. Hopefully in the long run it should pay off.

Neat stuff added to the shop

Not a lot going on here since last post, got a little painting around the house done. Also looking into using Shop Site 8 to redo my shop after the beginning of the year. Actually I'm playing around now geeting a plan together. Starting to get a little out of hand with a couple of shops and about 5000 items at the moment, hope to get another 5000 or so more listed next year.

Well I got tied up with playing around with that shop program last night and never got to post the blog. I think you know how easy that is. Think it will work out.

Hey was pretty cold here last night, like in the teens, brrrrr. It's about 21* here now in N.J.

There was a flurry of orders this week, guess people are realizing Christmas isn't to far in the future. But that's oK with me. They have faith in the U.S,P,S. getting stuff there in time. Not sure if it's better than last year yet. How many of you readers have antique and collectibles shops? Online or brick and mortar shops?

Jan counted 48 ducks in the creek this morning when she took "TJ" the dog out. Guess we're gotta have lottsa ducks hanging out this winter. The squriell has a new way of attracting our attention, now he climbs up the screen to eye level and looks in the kitchen. Determined little guy, a least the other two are sorta skiddish and just hang out.

Antique centers, ducks and collectibles

Good Sunday to all,
Pretty nice out today, about 41* at noon. About 36* now in N.J. This kind of winter I can do.

We stopped yesterday at one of the antique centers that we sold in a few years ago, lots of merch, lack of customers. The place is loaded with stuff, but not much priced to buy and resell. Skimmed a few items though, vintage razors, couple of tins, but not much.

Stopped at the Agway and bought a couple of large bags of corn and I guess the word got out because this is what the backyard looked like this morning.

Snow coming, Items added to shop

Ok it's Wednesday which means I'm on schedule with the blog. Had some snow the other day and got more coming. I guess the amount depends on where the cold front goes. Wasn't going anywhere anyway. Think Jan may be adding another dog to the zoo, will know tomorrow. Think that will bring us up to 2 dogs and 10 cats plus the outside crew of 3 squirrels and about 20 ducks. Chipmunks went to bed for the winter and the geese don't come up to the house much.

Not much else going on, just slaving away at the keyboard and taking photos. Digging through and sorting stuff to list. Hard to believe Christmas is right around the corner. Ebay buyers disappeared the last couple of days it seems. And my internet connection seems sorta slow tonight.

Sales have been pretty steady, not big sales but stuff is moving. Snow, Ducks, Squirrels and new shop additions

Hi all, ok it's Sunday and I'm on schedule for the Sunday blog.

Woke up this morning and there was white stuff all over the yard. Went in the kitchen and there were ducks sliding around the patio. Didn't look to happy.



One of the squirrels has finally decided that if he comes to the sliding door and pushes his nose against the glass he can make cats crazy and attract our attention so we will feed the poor starving squirrel. Of course when you slide the door open a little a line of 2 more squirrels appear. This attracts the ducks in the stream who then waddle up the hill and the other ducks downstream come to investigate what's going on. So now there are 3 squrriels and about 18 - 20 ducks sitting on the patio. So ya gotta throw out peanuts and a cup or two of corn and then the scramble starts, squirrels each grab a peanut and run for the fence or tree while the ducks run in circles trying to pickup all the corn. within in a miniute of two not a corn kernel to be found and off the ducks go splashing in the stream and coasting back down to the pond. Later in the day it starts all over again.

Went to a small rummage sale Friday morning, mostly just clothes and nonsense. Picked up a few things, spent under $5.00. One of my picker/ suppliers stopped by with some nice books and a few other things while he was visiting his former cats that we now have. Other than that just being busy taking photos and listing a few things on ebay and adding to the shop. Also hitting the post office and shipping orders out.

Roof, Ducks, Decorating and Stuff added to shop etc.

Okay we're back to normal days again, except it gets dark to early. Comes 6 o'clock and it feels like it's 9 pm already.
New roof is on and ducks are back to normal, looking to eat a bunch of times a day.
Jan is trying to start Chrismas decorating and five of the cats want to help, not an easy job with that many helpers. At least the older cats can't be bothered.

I have een trying to get sorta schedule together for posting here on the blog, like 2 -3 times a week, but it seems me and schedules don't make it. Guess that's why I always worked for myself. Going to try Sundays and Wednesdays and see what happens. Of course this is Thursday so maybe will will try it starting Sunday.

Been steadily searching boxes for stuff to add to the shops, passed the 4700 different items mark and heading for 4800. Had a bunch of orders this last week, so makes me want to keep adding. Sort of a strange assortment of goodies, something for everyone. A few new shop
