Well I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving Day. Winter weather the last few days here in N.J. maybe a little warmer next week, I hope.
After a confusing week in which Thursday felt like a Sunday and going to an auction Friday morning which made it seem like a Saturday and yesterday felt like Sunday and now it's Sunday again. I finally got around to adding words to the blog.
Roofers showed up Friday morning about 7am and were here yesterday also. Cats not to happy about the noise on the roof, lots of cats under the bed. Ducks got here early yesterdy for breakfast and were scarce for the rest of the day, they don't like shingles flying off the roof.
They say that the coming Monday (tomorrow) is called "Cyber Monday", the day people start shopping online for the holidays. Hope so. Have been adding goodies to the shops everyday, maybe I'll get to sell some of them.
Starting to get stuff ready for the New Year's auction, updating the webpage and adding pictures.
A few new shop additions are, Vintage Metal Pitch Pipe; Holiday Inn Matchcovers; Statler Toilet Tissue matchcover; Allans Tru-Orange matchcover; Trenton Old Stock Beer opener; Hotel Douglas Shrimp Fork; Davol Vacuum Cane Tips; N.J. State P.B.A. Badge; Tepco Salad, Sandwich Plate; Syracuse China Bread Plate; Syracuse China Dinner Plate; Brass Dress Clips; 15 Vintage Buckles; Vintage Opera Glasses, MOP; Calvert Extra Playing Cards; Vintage Kiddie Pinking Shears; Small Plastic Cars; Roebling Advertising Ashtray; Vintage Nut Chopper; Alumode Donut Maker; Heidelberg College Button; Cape May Lewes Ferry Button; 100th Anniversary Rogers Bros. Spoon; Cat Head Baby Rattle; Teething Rings; Syrocco Wood Scottie Brush Set; Renwal Dollhouse Bathtub; Reading Railway System timetable; Point Pleasant Beach Timetable etc.

Weather, ducks and shop stuff
Hey how ya be? Weather starting to become winterish around the New Jersey area. Not good, don't like.
The other morning Jan counted 20 ducks that stopped by for breakfast. Then during the day they show up for snacks in smaller groups. Got to the point now if they hear the back door open or see her in the yard they come paddling up the creek, It's like they have lookouts.

Auction subject:
I know that sometimes prices are low at the auctions, but there is no way to control that. Also that is why dealers go to auctions. I was at an auction Tuesday night and overhead a couple of dealers saying that some auctions the prices are low and they give the stuff away. But I have NEVER EVER heard anybody complain that they underpaid !!!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Found some old diecuts in a cigar box with a bunch of other stuff, remember buying them about 5 years ago. Added some of them and other goodies to the shop. Jukebox Coin Slot Insert; Red Men, New Jersey Button; Fire Deparment Patch; Walking Horse Figure; Small metal pig figurine; Matchbox Daimler Bus Esso: Sewing Susan Needlebook; Esso Needlebook; Mr. & Mrs. Egg Cups; German Cake Plate w/ Server; Noritake Condiment (Deleware Water
Gap); Buttermilk Pitcher (Cash Family); Antique Apple Parer; Restaurant China Bowls; Lamberton Scammell celery dish (Greek Key); Lamberton Scammell celery dish (flowers); Shenango Mug with Medical Insignia;
Also added some postcards to the postcard shop.
Swift & Company Factory; Their Love of Old Silver,Clarence Underwood; A Welcome Guest; Loose Leaf Tobacco Warehouse; Hanover Bank Building N.Y.; New Albany Hotel; The Shelburne in Atlantic City; Christmas, New Year's and Easter postcards.

Where did the collectors go?
Hey happy Monday to y'all.
Survived another auction Saturday, physically anyway not sure if financially though. It definately was a buyers auction. Things just ain't what they use'ta be. Seems like the collector base has shrunk. Not just at the auction but all around. Normally the flea market dealers are volume buyers but now there seem to be less dealers and more particular buyers.
Tray lots of glassware and china are doing about 20% of what they used to. Kitchen and country stuff quiet, paper collectibles about normal, general merchandise quiet, records and books totally dead. Costume jewelry normal. And so on. Even online things are quiet unless it's something hard to find or a high end toy or super glass. Where did the average everyday collector go?
I remember back when ........ OK, another time for that.
Gotta go to an auction tomorrow night (Tuesday). Hey somebodys gotta help boost the economy, plus the "Zillion Item Hoard" needs some fill ins.

Good news and other stuff
Good evening all,
As some of you know I was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago and things weren't looking great, but then they started to improve slowly.
Well I had a laryngoscopy test done Monday and all looks good, between that a a PET Scan a few weeks ago all the signs and traces of the cancer are gone. They say your not cured for at least 5 years but this is on the right track.
Ok, now back to other recent going ons, the gang of ducks in the creek have decided that they should have 3 meals a day and snacks, so they watch the house for any signs of life, when the kitchen light goes on in the morning up the hill they waddle, maybe 2 or 6 or 14 of them. During the day if you open the sliding door, they appear, paddling up the stream. One of the 4 squirrels now takes a peanut out of Jan's hand. He also comes up and pushes his nose against the glass door and make the cats on the other side nuts.
Got a little time to add some goodies to the shop, Dachshund Pendant, Copper; Enamel on Copper Pin; Enameled High Heel Pin; Rhinestone Pin; Heart Shaped Locket; Vintage Sword Stick Pin to our costume jewelry pages. And I'm Salt and I'm Pepper Shakers; Pyramid Pins Pincushion etc.

A few items added to More Neat Stuff shop: Heart Shaped Locket; Christmas Tree Pin, Lia;
Heart pin, Peace Sign; Avon Skunk pin; Rhinestone elephant on chain;
Also a few goodies added to our ebay auctions

Howdy Doody Crayons etc. added to Country Joe's
Hi all, how's things going? Yesterday Jan setup at the flea market they had here in the "adult community" that we live in. (I tricked them, I'm really a young senior, disguised has older). The club house is about 300 feet from our place so was an easy deal. Not many vendors, but that's ok cause she sold stuff. I came back home and slaved over a hot scanner and did my one finger typing to try to describe what we are trying to sell.
Had a good sized bunch of ducks stopping by several times today for snacks. Also the chipmunk was back, he hasn't been around lately figured he had packed it in and went to bed for the winter, maybe the last few days of warm weather woke him up.
For you collectors, accumulators and hoarders we have added mo' merch to the shop. Sterling - Marcasite Miraculous Medal; Metal Wall Sconces; Outstanding in Their Field, Collectors Plate; Lane Cedar Jewelry Box; Toy Deputy Sheriff Badge; Assorted Milk Bottle Caps; Old Coast-Pact Oysters tin; Cobalt Blue Deer Figurine; Pekingese figurine; Spaniel figurine; Lenox Santa Claus; Howdy Doody Crayons; Sterling Hatpin, Yellow Rhinestone; Sterling Hatpin, Blue Rhinestone; Boy and Girl Candles etc.

Also a few goodies added to our ebay auctions

Collectibles added to Country Joe's
Good evening all.
Still haven't adjusted to the time change here on the east coast, waking up to early and it gets dark to soon.
Seems like a zillion geese around here this week, there were at least 2 dozen hanging around at the corner down the street, just setting in the sun.
Geese on the sidewalk out front.
Also had 11 ducks show up for breakfast this morning, TWICE. It seems like after they eat the first time they waddle down the hill into the creek and sail off. When they get to the lake they decide the didn't have enough and paddle back up the creek and up the hill again. And there in the yard and on the patio are 11 ducks again, some come right up and look in the glass doors and quack.
Got a few things at a garage sale this morning, not much but saleable stuff. Gotta start getting my act together for my next auction on the 12th. Time to dig in the storage unit again, maybe Monday or Tuesday.
Been adding more merch from the "Zillion Item Hoard" to the shop this week, Mr. Peanut Charm; Mr. Peanut Straw; Mr. Peanut Spoon; Energizer Bunny Ornaments; Italian Mosic Earrings; Oval Mosic Pin, Brass Frame; Sasco Designer Earrings; Esso Key; Sinclair Advertising Mechanical Pencil; 1942 Theo. Andreas Mech. Pencil; 1951 United Carbon Mech. Pencil; Aer Lingus Toothbrush; Sterling Pie Lifter; Sterling Letter Opener; Silver Plate Butter Pick; Vintage Baby Dolls, Hong Kong; Souvenir plates: Puerto Rico; New Jersey; Houston Texas; Groton, Conn.; Dollhouse miniatures: Metal Pitcher and Pot; Red Bucket; Partial Tea Set; Pencil Holder; Pressing Iron; Dollhouse Lamp; Golf Clubs and miniature Basket of Veggies; Antique photo of 4 guys,1902; Antique Pocket Watch Faces; Mickey Mouse Salt - Pepper shakers in box; Wood Mickey Mouse YoYo and more.

Some new postcards added to the postcard shop Governor's Mansion, Albany, N.Y.; San Francisco Skyline; Fishing Boats, San Francisco; Miami Waterfront; Notre Dame Cathedral, Montreal; Tuck's Tower of London; Musec de Cluny, Paris; La Sainte Chapelle, Paris;
