Welcome to Collectibles at Country Joe's.
Hey had a pretty good run on yard sales Saturday. Picked up a Liberty Blue Soup Tureen and assortted dishes. Couple of American Girl dolls and some accessories, Sinclair radio in original box. Couple of kitchen bowls, Waterford wine glasses, older indent Christmas ornaments and other goodies. Definately worth the riding around.
Went to the market Sunday morning, t'was cold in the early AM. Got there around six and found a spot that I figured would get sun early. Wandered around until about 7am, tried to spend money but couldn't. Well, actually spent 5 bucks, plus bought a coffee. About seven o'clock started to set up slowly and was selling right from the beginning, no major money but sales nevertheless. Did a couple of hundred and was home about 1PM. And had a couple of empty boxes. So it was an okay day.
Weather getting a bit winterish around here. Getting near time to sorta semi-retire from the flea markets for the winter. Have another auction coming up November 11th and I guess I'll put in whatever is in the truck from the markets and make it go away.

Neat collectibles, vintage razors, nodders and more.
Welcome to Collectibles at Country Joe's.
The blog for collectors, accumulators and hoarders of neat stuff.
Went the market yesterday (Sunday), great selling weather. Was in a selling more than a buying mode due to a cash raising theme. Sometimes ya gotta sell this stuff. Anyway set up early about 6:30 still a little dark but enough flashlights shining from the dealer hunters to get stuff out. Was in one of those wheeling dealing moods, so most people bought stuff. As usual there are a bunch of super lowballers but I made them walk on. Don't mind selling and giving some deals but I ain't giving the stuff away. Most of the regulars are reasonable, they may try to knock you down, but they are flexible and will pay after a little playing. Was pushing a lot of merch that has been around all summer and it was time to make it go away.
Due the the blood thinners they have me on, I'll probably stop doing the markets for the winter, so time to shrink the inventory of market stuff.
Our sick cat had to go back and have surgery Friday, came home today wearing one of those funnel things around his head so he can't pull out his stiches. He ain't to keen about this thing and he needs to wear it for a week. But he did definately spook the other cats when he came home. One stayed under the bed for three hours. They never saw such a creature before.
Have an auction coming up Saturday Oct. 14th, so gotta work on that this week.
Lots of neat collectibles added to the shop this week.

Limited Edition Collector Plates: Valentines for You Plate; La Purification, Limoges Plate; Christmas Courtship, Knowles Plate; A Joy to Share, Schmid Plate; Open Wide, Knowles Plate; Santa on the Subway, Knowles Plate; Josephine, Limoges Plate, Santa in his Workshop, Knowles Plate.
Plus Bakelite Handle Paring Knife; Butterscotch Bakelite Handle Cake Knife; Regent - Sheffield Pie Server; Frankfurt / Oder Collectors Thimble; Watch,Clock,Tools,Supplies,1956 Bechtel Catalog; National Bank of Topton Yardstick; Tiny Silver Pickle Fork, Germany; Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs, Roses; Gem Travel Safety Razor Gem Micromatic Razor with Case; Kemp's Tomato Juice Can Opener; Naething Bros. Advertising Spoon; Corticelli Purse Twist Advertising Box; and other neat stuff.
Been thinking about closing down the Eclectic-Collectibles Forum due to lack of participation, but think I'm going to change my mind again and give it another shot. Now just gotta get more members who will post stuff.
See ya, Country Joe
