Good day,
Well, we went to the market Sunday morning, guess I was running a little late so I had to set up in a different area than normal and could only get two tables. Which was probably good because the masses forgot to bring money with them. "Oh, that's nice, how much is it?", when I would say $3.00, they would respond "I'll think about it, maybe get it later". Yeah right, another "Be back".
Luckily there were a few reasonable dealers floating around who don't panic when they hear $5.00, $10.00 or more. But did manage to get rid of a bunch of stuff. Sometimes I wonder where these people think stuff comes from. Like maybe we grow it.
Anyway, winter will be here soon and I can stay home and sell online, at least you don't have to contend with the people. If they don't want to buy they just click away and you don't even know they were there.

On a different sadder note, we had to put down one of our cats today, 17 years old, deaf and blind but up until a few days ago she could still make her way around the house. Then just started falling apart last week. So now there are nine cats and two dogs.

Good day, well we've been plodding along here in N.J. photographing and adding goodies to the shop. Some neat vintage photos, instant relatives if your need any. The only way you can pick your relatives, otherwise you get what is dealt. Also a few real photo postcards have been added. Lots more that I'll be adding here tomorrow night when I have some more time.

Went to the market on Friday, guess it was an average type day, it's a little different now with the kids back in school. A lot of people show up a little later and many who are involved with the schools etc. are working, plus vacations are over. So it's back to the winter routine. Heading out again tomorrow, weather looks good and maybe the people are over the back to school sticker shock. Sure glad I don't have any school age kids nowadays.

Pennsbury Pottery, Carved Soapstone, Cordey Figure

Good day all, weather starting to cool down a little at night which is better for sleeping, but a bit chilly in the morning. Spent the last couple of days digging into boxes of stuff and taking photos etc. Added some items to the shop and put some things I couldn't really price on ebay. A bunch of books and such. Still have some vintage photos to add to the shop and a bunch of paper and postcards that I'm working on now. Actually in time I would like to get rid of most of the glassware and china and stick to my advertising collectibles, kitchenware and paper and postcards. Plus I guess some jewelry cause it's small and other little neat stuff. Easier and cheaper to ship.
Okay back to woork.

Paper-007 Christ Child Stand Up Embossed Diecuts
Two vintage embossed diecuts of the Christ Child, one knocking on a door and the other holding a watering can. They both have fold out pieces on back to make them stand. Approx. 7 inches tall, Made in Germany. Great condition.

G-010 Antique Brinkerhoff Funnel Type Inkwell
A nice antique glass funnel type inkwell, marked around the bottom A.W. Brinkerhoff / Patd May 7th 1872. With the number 2 in the center. Has a ribbed design on the inside of base. Approx. 2-2/8 high and 3 inches in diameter. Great condition, no chips or damage.

Two little mother of pearl MOP mustard, horseradish or condiment spoons. Like caviar scoops but shorter. About 3-3/8 inches long. Great condition.


Decor-003 Vintage Carved Soapstone Double Vase, Flowers
Nice intricately carved vintage Chinese soapstone double vase, tan with black coloration. Has carved flowers and leaves. The carving is 4 inches tall and approx. 6-1/2 inches wide. Nice condition.


Pott-004 Pennsbury Pottery Pitcher, Rooster Design
Small Pennsbury Pottery pitcher with a rooster design. Tannish glaze with brown glaze inside. Marked Pennsbury Pottery. About 4-1/8 inches tall. Great country look. Opened in 1950 the Pennsbury Pottery in Morrisville, PA operated for 21 years closing in 1971. Nice condition, no chips or cracks.

A five inch Pennsbury Pottery pitcher with an Amish mans face on the side. Tannish glaze with brown glaze inside. Marked Hochschild, Kohn & Co. Gift Shop, Pennsbury Pottery on the bottom. Pennsbury Pottery opened in 1950 in Morrisville, PA operated for 21 years closing in 1971. Great country look. Nice condition, no chips or cracks.

Nice Cordey half figure of lady with flowers on her bonnet and green ribbon. She is about 6-1/2 inches tall. Marked Cordey 5028 / 123. The Cordey China Company was founded in 1942 in Trenton, New Jersey, by Boleslaw Cybis and closed in the mid 1950's.Condition is nice with no chips or cracks.
