Country Joe's Collectibles Stuff shop, lots of interesting collectibles, small antiques, postcards and other neat stuff from the 'Zillion Item Hoard' added every week.

Still plugging away here, hit a few yard sales on Saturday, not a lot of stuff but worthwhile. Nothing great but a few salabe items and a few things to toss in my next auction which should be interesting because I have five days straight of radiation and chemo right before it.

Sorted out some more printers blocks and some other goodies to add to the shop. Next I'll attack a pile of boxes on the porch and see what surfaces.

Cookie Cutters,Vintage Razors,Collectibles,Cancer Stuff

Ok it's officially spring, two geese and seven little gosslings showed up in the creek behind the house the other day. Also most of the female ducks have disappeared to their nests.

On the cancer front:
Saw the radiologist and he believes that the cancer is consentrated in one lymph node and hasn't spread anywhere. There is also a tiny spot in the right lung that he believes might be cancer (going for biopsy next week) if so he should be able to take care of it with radiation while doing the lymph node.
Not so good is it's 7 weeks of radiation every day and two weeks of chemo 5 days a week during the radiation.

Added some cookie cutters, postcards, vintage razors etc. to the shop.


Vintage Pocket Tin of BiSoDol Mints
Vintage pocket tin of BiSoDol mints. Pre-priced 29 cents. Tin is still full, contains 30 mint tablets for upset stomach relief. Still has original paperwork. It was made by Whitehall Laboratories, Inc., New York, N.Y. Probably 1960's era. Nice condition.


Vintage Bridge Set Tin Cookie Cutters
A set of four vintage tin cookie cutters, Heart, Club, Diamond and Spade. I believe it is called a Bridge Set. They are 1-1/2 inches deep, the diamond is 3-1/4 inches at the longest part. d. Nice addition to your vintage kitchenware collection.

Four vintage tin hatchet shaped cookie cutters for Thanksgiving Day cookies. Three are the same, one is a little different. About 2-1/2 inches. Nice addition to your vintage kitchenware collection. Joints are soldered.

Five assorted vintage tin cookie cutters, angel, half moon, number 5 or 2, four leaf clover and a spade from card suite. Half moon cutter is 1-1/2 inches deep and 2-3/4 inches in length, others are 1 inch deep. Nice addition to your vintage kitchenware collection.

Four assorted Santa Claus cookie cutters, two are tin, one with red wooden knob and one with srtap handle. Great addition to your kitchenware or Christmas collection.

Vintage Compacts, Face Powder Tin
Group of three vintage compacts and an old face powder tin. Compact with figures on lid (empty) is marked Evening in Paris, Bourjois; one is marked Coty with mirror inside (empty); one with lady on front has powder puff and some powder with mirror. Marked Tre-Jur, The Little One. About 2 inches in diameter. Face powder tin (empty) has Florian Face Powder on label. Sorry didn't get to clean them up. Priced accordingly.

Blue & White Speckled Enamelware Pot Lid
Robins egg blue and white speckled enamelware pot lid, Will fit about a 7-1/2 inch outside diameter with a 7-1/8 inside diameter opening. Does have chips in the enamel but on the inside. Also one on the handle.

Nice selection of vintage graniteware / enamelware.

Early Gillette Standard safety razor, top blade holder has long threaded stud that attached to the lower part of razor. Single ring at top of handle. Has Nov. 15, 1904 Pat. date on handle and serial no. 904323 or 8 on the inner barrel which dates it to 1909. Took the old three hole razor blade (one included), but regular double edge blades also fit. Nice condition, some wear on top of blade holder. Great addition to your razor collection.


Gillette Standard Old Style Safety Razor 1906
Early Gillette single ring Standard safety razor, top blade holder has long threaded stud that attached to the lower part of razor. Has Nov. 15, 1904 Pat. date on handle and serial no. 705199 on the inner barrel which dates it to 1906. Most of the plating is worn off. Used the old three hole razor blade (one included), but regular double edge blades also fit.

Nice day out there yesterday, hit a few yard sales but not much interesting. A bit cooler today but still okay. Lot's better than winter, that's for sure.

Last week I got a neat assortment of vintage printers blocks, most automotive related advertising. Added a few to the shop, more coming. Also put in some paper items, advertising recipes booklets etc. More of that and lots of other neat stuff coming.
