Stop in the shop, lots of collectibles and other neat stuff added every week. Please use links or click on images to go to the item pages.
Been sorta busy this week doing paperwork from the auction and other stuff. Haven't listed much but hopefully this week I can dig in and get some stuff done. But of course something will get in the way as usual.
Did the market today, not sure what happened but it seemed that the buyers were on strike. Ended up selling stuff but was like pulling teeth. Other than a few regular good buyers it was, "I'll give ya" , "Will you take", "three dollars for that?" and other such nonsense. But I managed to extract some cash from their pockets. Wasn't much to buy but I wasn't really looking to hard, got enough stuff to work on. Now I need to list it in the shop so that I can sell it and then buy more later. Just a vicious cycle it is.
A few items added:
Raz-061 Loew Travel Razor, Germany
Early Loew travel razor from germany. Comes in small brass case, handle comes apart. Originally used a 3 hole blade, but standard double edge blades fit. Open comb, 1920's era. Marked Loew / Germany on bottom blade holder. Razor and case have darkened from age, haven't cleaned it.
Raz-031 Ever-Ready Safety Razor Kit
A very nice vintage Ever-Ready Razor & Shaving Kit (World War 1 era, I believe). Canvas covered fold-out case contains Ever-Ready safety razor, a stropping device, container with leather strop, 2 containers one I believe is for a shaving brush and the other a shaving powder also a container of single edge blades and a metal mirror. The condition is great other than one of the leather straps that holds the blade holder is disattached and there is some discoloration on the long containers from being against the leather straps for many years. Also a little greenish stuff inside the can that holds the strop. The strop is still supple. On the front of the case it has 'Ever-Ready Safety Razor Kit'. If it wasn't my business to sell this stuff, I might be tempted to keep this.
More vintage safety razors.
Kit-103 Deco Olive Picker, Bakelite Knob
Deco era olive picker, tongs or actually can be used to pick most anything small, pickles, sugar cubes etc. Has a nice green marblized knob on the end. You push down on the knob and the tongs open, spring closes them. Marked with Pat No 1967731 / 1980465. Mid 1930's. About 8 inches long. Nice condition.
More neat kitchen stuff.
Adv-369 Sanford's Double Duty Ink Eraser
A neat tin Sanford's Double Duty Ink Eraser No. 298 with contents. Contains 2 bottles of eraser fluid that when combined remove the ink. One bottle is full, the other about 80% (evaporation ?)
