Not real friendly weather out there yesterday and today, sorta damp and chilly, in the 40's. Good day to stay in here and do auction paperwork, pack a few orders and work to shop. No market over the weekend, so we'll eat light this week. Well not really.
Starting to look around and see what's going into the New Years Day Auction. Maybe get an early start instead of going crazy two days before the sale. You know how things just sneak up on you.

Kit-002 Antique Rice Boiler, Food Mold
An antique metal rice boiler, food mold. According to Linda Franklin (100 Years of Kitchen Collectibles) it is a Rice Boiler to make molded rice. Has center spout and lid with strap handle, has 341 / fish logo / 16 on handle. . About 6-1/2 inches total height and 6-1/4 inches diameter at top of mold. Slight surface rust on the outside from sitting, inside is tinned.

Gold colored (white) metal trinket box with scene of man and women in Colonial costumes on a bridge watching ducks in a pond. Box is 2-1/4 x 3 x 1-1/4 inches in size. Has red cloth lining inside. Marked with a "duck figure with T" and Japan. Nice condition.
