Antique Wood Potato Masher, Vintage Gillette Razors, Collectibles

Got to the flea market on Sunday was c-c-cold and sorta stayed that way the rest of the day. Sun peeked out of the clouds several times but only for about five minitues each time. Mainly went to meet a customer to show and sell her some picture and prints which she did buy some.
Zipped around in the morning (still dark) and bought several items and a few more later on. Selling was a bit slow but didn't really have much good items with me and only filled two tables but sparsely. Sold until around 11:30 or so and split. Actually made a few bucks and bought good so it balances out.

Rainy day today, went to the post office and added some stuff to the shop. Made up some lots for the my April 10th collectibles auction. Friday looks like a good market day and they're open Easter sunday and weather looks nice so far. Maybe shoot over with a quick type set up, showcases etc. and put a day in. Not doing anything else and spent enough time in the house over the winter.

Salt and Peppers, Vintage Razors and Shaving Brushes

Well we survived the auction Saturday night, physically anyway. Don't know about financially yet, haven't peeked at the paperwork yet.
Lot's of stuff, but not much really interesting merch. Loads of box and tray lots of assorted goods, household, dealer stock that didn't sell over the summer etc. Lots of costume and other jewelry, paper and postcards.

Sort of a bargain hunting crowd, wasn't to sure how it would go with money tight etc. Seemed to be more sellers than buyers, but sometimes that's the name of the game. Can't predict much in the auction business.

Bought a load of asst'd postcards which will keep me busy over the winter, also vintage road maps. Hey easy to scan and ship. Tired of wrapping glass and china.

Added some old clock keys and other items to the shop.

A nice individual restaurantware creamer from the hotel Roosevelt, New Orleans. The creamer is 2 inches tall. Shenango China C-10. restaurant china. Nice condition.

Well we went to the market Sunday (Mother's Day) cause we figured hey maybe they will take mom out to the flea market. Some people did. Day started slow, picked up about 9am until noon then fell apart about noon. Not a great day but was ok. Bought a few things not much.
Monday did the normal picture taking, description writing etc. that goes with the business. Got some postcards and other goodies added to the shop.
Real nice weather out there today, hopefully it hangs around for the weekend.

1950's Oriental TV Lamp, Vintage Razors, Wood Advertising Hangers, Collectibles

Weekend was sort of a washout, didn't get to the flea market Friday or Sunday. Hit a neighborhood wide sale on Saturday, not much to buy though. But managed to pick up a few items, like a box of about 30 neat neckties, guess I'll have to go buy a suit now. Nah, I'll sell 'em.
Spent most of the rest of Saturday and today working on stuff for the shops. Looks like a few more days of rain but clearing up by next weekend. Hope so because I keep adding items to the van and it's pretty full. Need to go sell some stuff.

Some new additions,


Porcelain Mortar and Pestle
Nice little mortar and pestle for grinding up herbs, pills etc. The mortar is approx. 2-5/8 in. in diameter and 1-5/8 in. high. The pestle is 2-3/4 inches long. Nice condition.


Standard Gillette Goodwill Safety Razor
Vintage Standard Goodwill razor with the #160 cap. Gold plated, early 1930’s era, nice used condition. These were produced during the change over from the three hole blade type and the NEW Gillette razors.


Eversharp Schick Injector Razor
Schick Injector razor with a pear colored molded plastic handle, parallel grooves on blade guard, no flanges on spring. Eversharp Schick on rivet washer. Uses regular injector blades. Nice used condition.


1950's Oriental TV Lamp
Vintage 1950's Oriental TV lamp with figures sitting on the preforated metal base. Figures are attached to the base with wires so they can be moved around. Shade is original fiberglass type. Lamp is approx. 10-1/2 in. tall and shade is 10-1/2 inches in diameter. Nice used condition.


Vintage Glass Lamp Shade
Vintage glass lamp shade, probably depression era. Three lime green / jadeite color sections and three clear sections. Shade is approx. 5 inches high and 7 inches in diameter at the botton. Has a clip on bulb attachment inside. (but can be taken out to put a lamp with harp). Nice condition.

Renwal Dollhouse Items, Safety Razors Added

Had a bunch of snow yesterday, but nothing major in this area, north Jersey got hit a lot harder than we did. So we cranked up the heat a bit, made a bunch of coffee and did some shop work. Cleaned up a bunch of vintage safety razors, sorted a few boxes of assorted stuff, some for the auction and some for our online shops. Took photos, wrote descriptions and all that dull stuff.

Added several pieces of Renwal dollhouse furniture to the shop, added some vintage razors today. Got more of each to add during the week. Gittin' buggy waiting for the yard sale, flea market season to start.
