Vintage Safety Razors, Collectibles, Ramblings

Well I called it pretty close, auction ended around 10pm, was home about 11:45. I was warned that it was going to be a full moon that night and it was. Don't know what it is about auctions and full moons but it never fails, total confusion. Anyway we were loaded to the walls with stuff, some good, some not so good. But there was enough neat stuff to make an auction. September seems to be time finish cleaning out the corners of the garage, attic etc. And the dealers unload whatever didn't move over the summer. Which does make it interesting. Bought a few things, not as much as usual but lately I have no idea what to buy, the market just doesn't make a lot of sense. So I'm going back to my old standby stuff, collectible paper and ephemera, postcards, vintage kitchenware and small collectibles. The glass and china markets make no sense and with the postal rates it's even harder to figure how to buy so you can price it some where in reason.

Vintage Gillette 'NEW' style safety razor, gold plated. Has thick handle. Open comb. 1930's. Three piece razor, top piece has the bar that fits in blade slot with center stud for handle. bottom blade holder has a slot in the middle. Uses regular double edge blades. Nice used condition, slight wear. Price includes USA postage.

Valet Auto-Strop Razor in Case w/ Strop
Nice Valet Auto-Strop Razor in the original case with the leather strop and blade holder. Razor has groved handle and the butterfly type blade holder. Reddish brown case. Nice condition. Price includes USA postage.


Gillette Techmatic Razor
A Gillette Techmatic safety razor that uses a razor band cartridge. The Techmatic was only made for five years 1965 - 1969. Black plastic case is scratched up on the lid. Original paper work included. Looks to have been used by not much. Nice addition to your razor collection.
