Advertising Astrays, Kitchen Collectibles, Jane Russell Arcade Card and more

Good day all, nice fall weather out there, little chilly at night though. Listened to part of the debate last night but it wasn't real interesting.

Yesterday and today I got busy and started adding some of the advertising ashtrays I got over the weekend. There are also some neat non-advertising ones I'll get to maybe tomorrow or Friday. I said maybe because I also need to finish getting a load together for my auction on Saturday. Have been getting phone calls and emails about bringing stuff into the auction so should be a nice mix of goodies.

Added a few postcards to the postcard shop and an assortment of other collectibles to the shop.

I usually don't get into political, Wall Street and other such subjects but with all thats going on with this sub-prime stuff, stock markets and banks being closed or sold there is definately changes needed. Sure it's nice to send billions of dollars to bail out these guys that caused it all, but what about the guy down the street that loses his job and can't pay for his little 2 bedroom house and feed his kids. I don't see anyone in Washington sending a few bucks his way. Maybe they should have taken that 700 billion or whatever crazy number it was and divided it up among everyone, which would be a pretty good amount. Then they would spend, the economy would pick up, taxes would get paid and the government would get the bucks back. Sounds like a better plan to me.

Okay back to work and I'll watch the mailbox for my check.

1939 World's Fair sailboat pin with World's Fair logo with the Trylon, Perisphere on one sail. Initals etched above the logo. Pin is approx. 1-1/2 inches tall. Nice condition. Great addition to your World's Fair collection.

Egyptian Carved Scarab Link Bracelet
Nice carved scarab stone link bracelet. There are eight carved stones in assorted colors mounted in gold filled links. It measures 7 inches long and has a safety chain. 1/20 12K GF.

Limoges Lipstick Case + Mirror Brevete
Vintage Lipstick Case (no lipstick included). The porcelain scene is of a Victorian lady with a staff. Gold on blue enamel. On the reverse side is a mirror. When you open the lipstick case the mirror pops open to use. The gold metal is in good condition with no scratches or wear. It is marked on the bottom "Brevete, SGDG, Paris France".

Regina Cast Iron Meat Juice Press
Cast iron meat juice press is marked Regina 100 B:M:I on one side and Made in Germany on the other. Used to preserve pieces of meat during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Pieces of meat were put into the cup and the press was screwed down to flatten the meat and squeeze out the juice. The flattened pieces were then put into a canning jar, the juice was then poured in and the jar sealed. Good condition and complete with all its pieces. There is some wear and chips to the paint. Great addition to your vintage country kitchen collection.

Ashtray advertising 'Pfizer', oval shaped with the Pfizer logo. On the back, Minerals, Pigments & Metals, Division Chas. Pfizer & Co. Inc. with Pfizer logo. 3-3/4 x 7-1/4 inches in size. Nice condition, ultra small fleabite in one of the slots.

Ashtray advertising the 'Associated Press - Reporting the World'. Approx. 6-1/2 inches, Made in Portugal. Nice condition.


Knowles China Co. Advertising Ashtray
Ashtray advertising 'Knowles Dinnerware of Distinction - Edwin M. Knowles China Company. Gold trim, 5 inches in diameter. Nice condition.


SCIO Pottery Company Advertising Ashtray
Ashtray advertising 25th Anniversary of SCIO Pottery Company February 13, 1933 - February 13, 1958. SCIO Pottery Company made dinnerware etc. closed in the 1980's. Ashtray is 7-3/4 inches in diameter. Nice condition.

Ashtray advertising The Salem China Co., Salem, Ohio. American Salem Dinnerware of Distinction. On back Franklin L. Fowler, Ohio Representative 639 W. Ohio, Sebring, Ohio. Ashtray is about 5-1/8 inches in diameter. Nice condition, no problems.

Texize Advertising Ashtray, Aluminum
Aluminum ashtray advertising Texize. The Texize Chemical Company, Texize Household Cleaner, or simply Texize, was a chemical company incorporated in the 1940s. Texize's product line included Janitor In A Drum, Glass Plus, Fantastik, and many others. Texize was acquired by Dow Chemical Company in 1986. Approx. 5-1/2 x 5-3/4 inches, has a RWP in circle on back. Price includes USA shipping.

Vintage Eyeglasses Gold Filled Frames
Vintage eyeglasses with 1/10 12K gold filled frame. Carrying case is marked Ansbach Bros. Newark - East Orange - Summit - Asbury Park also has prescription number card. Glasses in great condition, case has some minor damage to the covering.

Vintage kitchen wire mesh vegetable or fruit basket with green wooden handles. Basket is approx. 10 x 10 inches and 4-1/2 inches deep. Has some yellow paint on it, but I left it as found. Nice condition. Great addition to your country kitchen.
