Vintage Lux Box, Art Glass Vase, Army Security Agency Pin, Councilman's Badge

Ah, fall weather is upon us, I can do this. Went to the market on Friday, place was loaded with dealers early most tables were full by 7 am. At least in this weather you don't have to find a spot where you can set up with a little shade either from the trees on the back row or parking where you can sit partially inside. Actually Friday I was looking to set up in the sun. Was 42* when I got there. Anyway filled 3- 4 x 8' tables with whatever was in the truck, good, bad ansd assorted stuff. Didn't walk much in the morning it was a sell day, due to low jingle in me pockets.

Had a pretty good day didn't have to give much away to the el-cheapo's just chased them. Even used a friend of minds line, asked them which way the were going and then said well then keep on going. They get the message. :-). Came home did some photo taking etc, wrote up some descriptions and added a few goodies.

This morning (Saturday) Jan went to help a friend with a sale at a block sale. I hit a few yard sales bought some nonsense. Don't know why I do this, probably the price was right. Gets me everytime. Now I have to finish adding some miscellanous bric-a-brack to the van for the market in the morning.

Still gotta get stuff together for my auction next week. Hey, all this stuff keeps me off the street corners and out of the bars.

Brooklyn Bridge New York City Souvenir Shoe
Neat little vintage porcelain souvenir shoe with image of the Brooklyn Bridge New York City. Looks to be marked Made in Germany. About 4-1/4 inches long. Has wear on the gold trim. No chips or cracks.


Miniature Limoges Plates with Stands
Two miniature Limoges plates with stands, the larger about 2-7/8 inches, farmer and wife praying over their crop. Marked Porceloine d'Art Limoges France with an R and P. Has gold trim. Also a paper sticker Treasure Chest, La Jolla, Cal. The smaller one about 1-3/4 inches has church scene. Marked in a shield Porceloine Limoges France with a S and A. Both in nice condition, no chips or cracks.


Padlock Shaped Thermometer, Florin, France
A neat brass padlock shaped thermometer, marked Florin, Made in France on the dial. May have had a crystal over the dial at one time. Total height is 4 inches, 2 inches wide and 7/8 inch thick.


Vintage Charlie McCarthy Character Spoon
Vintage Charlie McCarthy figural character spoon, approx. 6 inches long. Marked Duchess Silver Plate. Polished up after photo taken, otherwise to much glare. Nice average condition.

California Souvenir Spoon Poppy Flower
A silverplated California souvenir spoon with A flower at the top 'Poppy' under it and 'California'. Bowl of the spoon look like a condiment spoon. Made in Holland on the back. Approx. 4-1/2 inches. Nice condition.


Sterling Silver Gold Miner Spoon
A neat little spoon showing a miner with a pan and gold nuggets. Marked 'sterling'. Approx. 4 inches long. Nice condition.


Vintage Lux Soap Box
Vintage unused Lux / For all Fine Laundering box, still flat. (one shown is mine). Look to be from the 1940's era. For dishes.....gentile to your hands. 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 x 1-3/4 inches. Great for your vintage kitchen, laundry room or general store display.


Pink to Rose Art Glass Vase
Nice light to darker pink colored art glass vase with crimped top edge and white interior.. Pontil on base. Approx. 4-1/4 inches in diameter, 3-3/4 inches tall. NIce condition, no problems.

Vintage Rolls Razor blade and bakelite case with metal lid ('Rolls Razor' on top). The case is a mahogany color with the Rolls Razor logo on front and 'Rolls Razor Imperial Blade' on back. Includes new Rolls Razor Super Blade / Made in England in wrapper.


U.S. Army Security Agency Insigna Pin
A distinctive insignia pin of the U.S. Army Security Agency School. The Latin motto Vigiles Salutis means "Sentinels of Security." Approved in 1953, the design features a sphinx (symbolic of wisdom, silence, and closed-mouth conduct) clutching bolts of lightning (representing electronic communication). Approx. 1-1/8 inches in size. Price includes USA shipping.

24k gold plated Councilman's badge 'Edward Russell / Est. St. Louis / IL. Badge is made by Smith & Warren. State of Illinois seal. 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 inches in size. NIce addition to your badge collection.
