Antique Kettle, Deco Demitasse Spoons, Old Photos & More

Just a regular weekday around here, off to the post office to ship orders, take pictures, write up descriptions and add an assortment of stuff to the shop. Almost like going to work but a short commute.

Last night the ducks that hang out in the stream behind the house had the new batch of ducklings out for a swim, they're about a softball size bunch of fuzz.

Alice In Wonderland, Cheshire Cat Figurine Disney
Alice In Wonderland, Cheshire Cat figurine by Walt Disney Productions, Japan. Figure is approx. 2-3/4 inches long, has two minute specks of paint missing on the tips of the ears. Has a neat grin on it's face.

Vintage display box of Sheffield Double Edge blades, contains 20 smaller boxes of probably 5 blades each. Made in Newark, NJ. Box has slight damage at top right from a price sticker I presume. Great addition to your shaving collection.

Antique twisted wire rug beater / carpet beater with wooden handle. The carpet beater is about 7-1/2 x 31-1/2 inches in size. Great addition to your vintage housekeeping collection.


Vintage Ceramic Wales Cat Figurine, Japan
A vintage Wales cat figurine, black and white with right paw raised. About 5-3/5 inches tall. Has Wales, Made in Japan sticker on bottom. Nice condition, tiny flea bite on tip of ear.


Ceramic Standing Cat Figurine, Japan
Nice little ceramic standing cat figurine, brown, cream and tan. Approx. 4-1/2 inches high. Marked Japan. Nice condition, couple of tiny flea bites on edge of it's ear.


1939 N.Y. World's Fair Sewing & Mending Companion
Vintage 1939 New York World's Fair / J.& P. Coats Sewing & Mending Companion. Cantains 12 spools of thread and plastic thimble, not sure what was in the right compartment, maybe a small needle book. Sort of in average condition, box top corners are torn.

Set of Birmingham Sterling Art Deco Demitasse / Coffee Spoons - Box
Vintage set of 6 Art Deco demitasse or coffee spoons with black bakelite coffee beans near tips of the handles. Spoons are 4 inches long and the hallmarks for Suckling Limited / Birrmingham / Sterling and W date code are on the back of the spoon. They come in their original box which is velvet and satin lined. Case measures 5" x 6" x 3/4". Outside is faux alligator with gold trim and a fancy brass catchs. These have the original patina as we got them. Have seen these priced at $149 - $200+ online which I believe is a bit much.

Antique Copper Kettle, Dated 25 Dec. 1903
A neat antique copper kettle dated 1903, has riveted on spout, wood handle has been charred from the stove. Part of the top section has been resoldered and a small repair to the bottom a long time ago. Looks to be tinned inside. Lid finial also has been resoldered in the past. This kettle heated a lot of water in it's day and could probably tell many stories. On the side is engraved Carolina Martin / 25 Dec 1903 / Albert Stoll. Probably a Christmas gift. A great addition to your antique kitchenware collection.
