Fenton Compote, Enamelware Coffee Pots, Etc.

Did the flea market on Friday, HOT, HUMID, MUGGY and generally uncomfortable. Oh, and slow selling. Seems those in their right minds stayed home, but of course those of us on the edge of sanity showed up. Didn't put much stuff out and was gone by 10:30. Bought a bunch of old razors and a nice collection of early 1900's postcards of Lancaster Pa. plus a few other things.

Hit a few yard sales today in between rain showers, picked up a few things. Worked on adding goodies to the shop.

Looks like we might get the day in tomorrow at the flea market. Poss. scattered showers, they said that Friday and nothing until late in the day, so maybe all will be good.

A few more weeks until my September collectibles + consignment auction. Which is good because my storage bin is maxed out. Wonder where the summer went?

Simplex Safety Razor WWII
Vintage Simplex safety razor, I believe these were made for the military. 3pc, handle and ower plate are black plastic, top plate dull metal, original black paint is worn off top. Made by Federal Razor Blade Co., N.Y. 1939-1945.

Gillette New Improved Razor 1923
Vintage Gillette New Improved safety razor with serial number 371799B, dates it to 1923. Gold plated, three piece design with long center stud and two smaller studs to hold the 3 blade. Open comb. Pat. Jan. 30 1920 USA on the handle. Average used condition, has some discolored spots on top plate, gold worn, might polish out but didn't want to push it. Originally used 3 hole blades, but regular double edge blades also fit.

1967 Gillette Super Speed
Vintage 1967 Gillette Super Speed with black handle and silver TTO knob. Has date code of M-1. Has some pitting on the top of aluminum section of handle, which seems to be a normal occurence. Otherwise razor is in great condition.
