Vintage Salt and Peppers, Gillette Saftey Razors

Took a shot at the flea market Sunday morning, sorta cold but not too bad except the fingertips didn't like it a lot. Wandered around and actually bought a bunch of stuff. Was light on dealers and customers but filled up a table with easy pack stuff, sold enough to feel like I accomplished something. Had a little drizzle around 10 am so decided to call it a morning. Came home and started slaving away at the keyboard, took photos etc.

Today was mostly RAIN. Ran out the post office to ship the weekend's orders and back into the house.

So far next weekend doesn't look like I want to go sell. But tomorrow and next day look good enough to head to storage and get some stuff done, in the afternoon anyway when the sun is around that side of the building.

Hey anyone know of a web site that I can buy glass inwell inserts? Bought a fairly nice Bradley & Hubbard inkwell but it needs an insert.

Have been cutting down my booth on Bonanzle and going to shut it down probably next week, need to consentrate on my main shop.

Also going to try to get my Eclectic Collectibles Forum rolling again.

Gotta start digging out more vintage postcards to add to the shop. Slacked off that job this week.

Gillette Standard Old Type Safety Razor 1920
Standard Old Type Gillette safety razor, single ring. Has serial number K985688 which dates it to 1920. Model 102 razor. Razor is silver plated. Three piece design with long center stud and two smaller studs to hold the 3 hole style blade. Standard double edge blades also fit. Small stress in the handle tube, fairly common. Nice used condition.

Gillette Old Type Safety Razor 1919
Vintage 'Old Type' Gillette safety razor. Razor has Serial No. J15610, dates it to 1919. All J-series serial numbers were U.S. military issues. Three piece razor, top guard has three studs, center one is threaded for handle. Used 3 hole blades, but standard double edge fit. Small stress crack on top of handle which is common in this type razor. Pat,. Nov 15 '04. Nice used condition.

Gem Featherweight Safety Razor Gold Tip
Gem single edge Featherweight safety razor gold colored with ivory colored plastic handle and gold tip. Flip open top, marked Gem Razor inside. Has 'G' in circle on handle. Gem was made by American Safety Razor Corp., Brooklyn, NY. Nice used condition.

Van Tellingen Bear Snuggle Hugs Salt and Peppers
A set of Van Tellingen Bear Snuggle Hugs salt and pepper shakers. They are approx. 3-1/2 inches tall. Marked Van Tellingen, 1950's era. No chips or cracks.

Pair of Bear Salt and Peppers
A pair of bear salt and peppers, look like Shawnee but don't believe they are. About 3-1/2 inches tall, nice condition. .

Bonzo I'm Salt - I'm Pep, Salt & Pepper
Bonzo I'm Salt - I'm Pep, salt and pepper shakers. Made in Japan. About 3 inches tall. Nice condition.

Wade Pin Dish with Duck
Wade Blue Pin Dish With Duck, diameter of dish is 3 inches. Wade England on the duck and makers markings underneath dish, Made In Ireland / Porcelain / Wade Nice condition.

Plus added a few othervintage safety razors to the shop. Have about 50 or more I recently purchased that need to get listed.

Vintage razors and other shaving collectibles are one of our main lines that we add to the shop as we get them, razors may be added daily or several times a week. So you need to check often as many are sold within hours of being listed.

All items were available for sale at the time this blog was posted. Some move out rather quickly.
