Vintage Safety Razors, Collectible Advertising Tins

Seemed like a pretty good auction last night. Tables were full and lots of furniture etc. in the back corner. Crowd was a little light but I'd say they were buying. Some prices were very good and some were a little light, but overall I i'd say it averaged out. There was lots of costume jewelry, good selection of paper, postcards, glass, china etc.
A little light on sports cards but more coins than normal. Auction started at 4pm and I was home by 11pm. not bad.

Added a few things to the shop today.


Vintage Gillette 'New' Safety Razor, Old Type Handle
Vintage Gillette 'New' safety razor, gold plated with old type hollow handle. Three piece razor, top piece has the bar that fits in blade slot with center stud for handle. bottom blade holder has a slot in the middle. Open long comb. 1930's. Small split on handle, normal with this type handle.


Gillette Old Type Safety Razor Military 1919
Vintage 'Old Type' Gillette safety razor. Razor has Serial No. J 16513, dates it to 1919. All J-series serial numbers were U.S. military issues. Three piece razor, top guard has three studs, center one is threaded for handle. Used 3 hole blades, but standard double edge fit. Small stress crack at bottom of handle which is common in this type razor. Nice used condition.

Vintage advertising tin, Nescafe, a coffee extract. 4oz. size, about 3-1/4 inches tall. Prepared by Nestle's Milk Products Inc. New York, USA. Nice condition, minor wear.


Flavour Chicken Bones Advertising Tin
Vintage advertising tin, Flavour Chicken Bones. An old fashioned crispy butterscotch jacket stuffed with fresh roasted almonds, Dainty, Delicious, Delightful. Tin is 6 inches tall and 3 inches square. Made by Flavour Candy Co., Chicago, Ill. Copyright 1928 by F.C. Co. Nice average condition, minor wear. Great addition to your vintage candy tin collection.

A vintage cardboard Cello Sealed beer container. From our keg to your home. Good beer is draught beer. 1940's 50's graphics. Container is 3-1/4 x 7 inches. Marked Sanitary Can Liquatite on bottom.
