Just got out of the hospital last night, 20 days in there, 11 in ICU, heart attack and collapsed lung the next night. Not a good combination.
Anyway in between counting ceiling tiles and bad TV brain started to turn to mush), I decided it was time to retire from the auction business and flea markets (maybe down the line a few markets). Being on an oxygen machine 24/7 doesn't make things any easier but keeps me alive.
Will continue running our online shops: Vintage Collectibles / Small Antiques and Paper And Postcard Shop. Now have to work up a plan to just sell online since I closed my live auction due to health reasons. May have to change my name to Cyber Joe.
Looking for an online auction site for excess and items that don't quite fit the shop. Stuff that came with the load. sort of tired of ebay's fees, whims etc. But so far it the only place that there seems to be some action.
Hope to get some new stuff listed tomorrow.

Sorry to hear of your health setback, but glad to see that your out of the hospital! Have followed your blog for some time now & have enjoyed your auction listings. I too got tired of the feeBay expenses, just couldn't afford them any longer! You might take a look at eBid and Webstore... their fee basis is similar to what eBay was years ago! Well, Webstore is a bit different in that they have NO FEES; eBid is stronger in Europe than the U.S., but they're gaining gaining ground pretty fast. I am using both with moderate success, but that may be just a reflection of the economy!?!
