Music Boxes, Sneezy Figure, Safety Razors, Collectibles

Went out on the patio yesterday (added a 10' piece of hose to oxygen machine) and figured I'd sit awhile, catch some vitamin sunshine and feed the ducks. Got out there and the sun went behind a cloud, ducks decided to sit in the creek and look at me. Sometimes they get skittish and won't come up when your out there. So I sat and stared back at them. Sent Jan & Danny to the Italian restaurant to get some real food, got a large order of manicotti, sure beats that hospital food. Ate half last night and will zap the other half tonight. Good stuff and I can swallow it.

Today it rained most of the day, so just worked on merch to add during the week.

A vintage hard vinyl Sneezy (7 dwarfs) figure, about 8 inches tall. Marked Walt Disney Productions, Made in Japan. Nice condition, has some black paint marks. Nice addition to your Disney collection.

Ardalt Antique Phonograph Music Box
A nice ceramic music box shaped like an antique phonograph. Approx. 6-1/4 inches to top of the speaker horn, base is 3 x 3-7/8". Has Arnalt - Japan sticker on the bottom. Music box is working but don't know what it is playing. Nice condition, no chips or cracks.



Seated Ballerina San Francisco Music Box
Nice ceramic music box with a seated ballerina lacing her slippers. About 4-3/4" tall, base is 3-3/4" in diameter. Has label The San Francisco Music Box Company, ©1991. Made in Taiwan, R.O.C. Music box is working but don't know what it is playing. Nice condition, no chips or cracks.

Vintage wooden Kraft White American Cheese box. 2 LBS. Net Wgt. size. 2-7/8 x 2-5/8 x 9 inches in size. Average condition, no breaks.


Denny's Cat Menu Mask
Denny's Restaurant Cat Menu Mask Premium. Mask was cut out from the menu. Believe this was from about 1985. About 8-1/2 inches wide. Been used, but still pretty neat.

Gillette Aristocrat Safety Razor 1946-47
Vintage Gillette Aristocrat safety razor, 1946-1947 era. This variety of the Arisotcrat has no notch for blade dispenser on the center bar and does have end caps. TTO. Uses regular double edge blades. Condition i1 s nice, but has wear on gold plating on bar guards and some on edge of center bar.


Kewpie, Laurel, Germany Ladies Razors
Group of four vintage miniature ladies razors. Longest is about 1-5/8 inches. White plastic one I believe is a Kewpie. They all seem to fit the small Kewpie double edge blade. one with white base plate marked Made in Germany, black base blade razor marked Laurel / Made in England. Nice addition to your collection or start of a new one.


Gem Push Button Safety Razor, Case
Gem push button safety razor with a black ribbed, plastic handle with a gold-toned strip down the center with a raised 'GEM' and gold-toned head. Nice used condition, very slight wear on the head. In original (cracked) plastic case. Instructions on back. I believe these came out in the late 1950's.

Decorative Brass Inkwell, Pen Holder
Nice decorative cast brass inkwell, pen holder. Has two wells, but one well the hinge pin doesn't quite catch.
4-1/4 x 6-3/4 inches at the base. Marked 2791B. Still nice desk piece.

Ruby - Clear Ribbon Vase
Going to call this a ruby / clear ribbon vase as I don't have another name. The vase is 8 inches tall and 2-1/4 inch diameter at the base. Has ruby color ribbon or stripe design applied to edges. Does couple of tiny chips on the top edge. Also has polished base.

1917 Gillette Razor, Art Glass Pitcher w/ Stopper,Czechoslovakia Decanter

The big white heron showed up Friday morning in the stream behind the house looking for some fish, couldn't get a picture, the patio door was closed and the slightest noise spooks him and poof he's gone.



Little quacks charging the kitchen door.


We have decided to cancel our September 11th auction due to recent medical stuff, (the crowd groans) just don't think I'll have the energy / stamina to pull it off. Hope to get my act back together for the October sale. Will see what happens.

Took a portable oxygen tank out to the van yesterday and sorted a few boxes but after about 15 minutes it tired me out. Glad that just working on the computer is ok though.

A few new additions to the shop.


Gillette Standard Old Type Safety Razor 1917
1917 Gillette Standard Old Type safety razor, three piece construction, top blade holder has long threaded stem which is held in place by lower part inserted in base of handle. This razor has serial number D645846 which dates it to 1917. Originally used the three hole razor blade, but standard double edge blade fit. Razor is in used condition, but polished up nicely.


Also added a few other Vintage Gillette Razors in the shop.


Blown Art Glass Pitcher, Stopper
Blown art glass pitcher, applied handle and ground glass stopper. Sort of a greenish blue color with clear handle and stopper. Height to top of stopper is approx. 8 inches. Nice condition, no chips or cracks.


Czechoslovakia Handpainted Decanter, Borokristal
Nice vintage handpainted decanter with ground glass stopper from Czechoslovakia. Has a coach scene and is marked 'Hand painted by Borokristal in Czechoslovakia O. Gartner'. The glass is clearer than the photo, picking up reflections. Approx. 9-1/2 inches to top of stopper. Top lip and base are polished. Body of the decanter is clearer than the photo. Nice condition, no chips or cracks.

Vintage nickel plated Gillette three piece Tech razor. solid ball end handle. Etched 'Gillette' logo on top plate. Has C-4 date code, 1957. Uses standard double edge blades. Average used condition.


Valet Auto Strop Safety Razor, Metal Case, Strop
Vintage Valet Auto Strop razor in metal case with strop. Gold plated razor has the butterfly type blade holder. Uses the cutout VALET type blade.One blade included. Average used condition. Outside of case not as nice.

Vintage Valet Auto Strop razor in rounded top metal case. Uses either the solid or cutout blade. Average used condition. Outside of case not as nice.

Vintage three piece safety razor, has black plastic handle and lower plate, metal upper plate, not marked but looks like a Clix or similiar razor. Take standard double edge blades.


Schick Injector Razor Original Case, Bakelite Handle
Vintage Shick Injector Razor in the original case. Butterscotch Bakelite handle, bar guard with irregular striations, Domed brown leather over metal clam shell case. 20 year guarantee on bottom of the case. 1939-1945 era. Uses regular injector blades. Nice condition. Great addition to your collection.

Going by the weather forecast looks like I not going anywhere, flea markets, storage unit etc. for another week, ninety this, ninety that etc. etc.

Did take some time to work on my links page and cleared out a lot of non-working links. Guess a bunch of shops have closed or changed their links and didn't tell me. Also working on using Twitter and Facebook more for shop promoting.

Continued on sorting through dark corners locating more collectible trinkets. Might as well start loading the shop up for the winter.

Vintage 1951 Gillette Super Speed safety razor, date code W-1. In original red and clear styrene case with blue blade dispenser (still a few blades in it). Razor in nice used condition, case has minor wear.

Vintage framed cross stitch sampler with 'Let me live in the House by the side of the Road and be a Friend to Man'. Mounted in a nice oak frame about 11 x 14 inches. Nice condition.


Mountain Scene, Cabin, Boat, Lake Oil Painting
Vintage framed oil painting on canvas board, mountain scene, cabin, boat in lake. Signed JKravitz (?) Painting is 10 x 14, dark oak frame is 12-1/2 x 16-1/2 inches. Nice condition.

Barber Shop Quartet, Bourbon Decanter
Ceramic decanter for Bourbon. Central decal features a Barber Shop Quartet. Figural stopper of a man in yellow hat. Ceramic part of stopper comes out but cork is stuck. Red Relco label on the bottom. About 11 inches tall. No chips or cracks. Fits right into your barber shop collection.

Victorian Bristol Glass Powder Jar, Candle Holder
Victorian Bristol Glass hand blown powder jar is white opaque glass has a satin glass look that you can see through and has a hand painted floral motif. Fluted finial on the lid also could be a candle holder. Some of the gold trim is worn away from usage. Bottom of the lid shows a pontil mark, base pontil has been polished. Approx. 8 inches tall. Great addition to your dresser top.

Ok we're in another heat wave hear in NJ, HOT, HOT & HOT. Actually have been staying in the AC for a few days.
Dr. added a script for nebulizer to help my breathing situation and when Jan came back from the store she had this.



Now how kool is that. Medical equipment that matches my penguin hoard.

Merchant Marine Belt Buckle
Vintage gold plated brass buckle with United States Merchant Marine insignia. Marked Giant Grip / Invisible / Made in USA / Pat Pending. And what looks like Dmrold. About 1-1/8 x 1-1/2 inches. Lot of reflection in the photo.

Old Excelsior six lever working padlock with key. Padlock is 2 x 3 inches in size. Great addition to your lock collection.

Got the lock at the flea market last week, thought i might have a key, first key I tried worked.

Vintage Presto CB brass fire extinguisher seems to be partially full. Still has original label. Measures 4 1/2 inches tall. Neat addition to your fire fighting collection.

April 1949 appointment pad advertising 'Field and Flint Co., Brockton, Mass. Foot Joy and Dr. M.W. Looke Shoes for Men' Pad is in a leather pocket folder, Has 1949 calendar inside and has notes jotted on pad. 4 x 6-3/4 inches. Nice advertising piece.
