Flu on the way out, Antiques added

Country Joe's Collectibles Stuff shop, lots of interesting collectibles, small antiques, postcards and other neat stuff from the 'Zillion Item Hoard' added every week.

Still sorta recuping from a six day flu that put me on the couch for five days. Got a hour or so a day to get some work done. Hopefully it's pretty much gone now.

American Indian Chief Inkwell
American Indian Chief Inkwell
Vintage American Indian Chief inkwell with glass insert. Looks to be cast brass, possibily brass plated white metal. Weighs about 4-3/4 lbs. Hinged headdress opens to access glass inkell. Base is 7 inches wide at the widest part. About 4-1/4 inches in height. No makers marks. Nice condition, no problems.

Early Metal Base with Porcelain Cherb Insert
Early Metal Base with Porcelain Cherb Insert
Early brass plated white metal base with porcelain cherb insert, has small hole on top to mount something, Maybe a statue or something similar. The base is approx. 3-1/4 inches high, the feet are about 4-3/4 inches across the front. The flat top is approx. 2 inches square. The porcelain insert is wired in, looks to be original due to the shape of the insert, but I can't swear to it. May have been reworked a long time ago. A very interesting piece though.

Modern Locomotives, John Y. Beaty, 1935
Modern Locomotives, John Y. Beaty, 1935
Vintage hardcover book 'Modern Locomotives' by John Y. Beaty. Copyright 1935. Contains 64 pages loaded with photos. Covers are a bit worn but interior pages are very nice. 6-1/2 x 9-1/4 inches in size.

Porcelain Figure of a Seated Lady
Porcelain Figure of a Seated Lady
Porcelain statue of a seated lady holding a small book. She is wearing a white dress with small flowers and a pink flower in her hair. Behind her right arm in the back there is a small hole that maybe was for a flower. Olny markings I see is an impressed number 5030 on the back. The figure is approx. 8" tall. Nice condition, no chips or cracks, slight wear on the gold trim on the bottom of dress.

See ya, Country Joe
