Vassar College Plate, Sterling Purse-Compact, Cancer

Moving right along here, feeling better and starting to accomplish a few things. But there are a few setbacks going on in my life. Test results say that there is a recurrence of cancer in my system but until further tests etc. we won't know exactly what type and where in may have spread. So we're just gonna go on with life and keep our fingers tightly crossed. We've been here before and will beat it again.

So with that here are a few new additions to the shop.


Gem Junior Razor, Thick Black Handlel
Vintage Gem Junior safety razor with thick black plastic handle. Uses single edge blades. Chrome plating is worn off the back where it is marked Gem Junior. Inside head is marked Gem / Brooklyn / New York / Made in USA. Has Pat. 1912 on flange where handle screws on. Nice usable razor.


Blue Willow Soup Bowl / Churchill
Vintage Blue Willow soup bowl, made by Churchill / England. Bowl is approx. 8 inches in diameter. Condition is good with no problems.


Taylor Hall, Vassar College Plate
Vintage blue - white plate Taylor Hall, Entrance to Vassar College, Poughkeepise. N.Y. The plate is approx. 7-1/2 inches in diameter. Marked on back; The Adams Souvenir Series, W Adams & Sons, Tunstall England Est. 1657. Made in England for J. Arnold Wood Inc. Poughkeepise. N.Y. Nice condition.


Wildwood by the Sea, N.J. Souvenir Plate
Vintage Wildwood by the Sea, N.J. souvenir plate. Has images of Cruiser Sightseer; Boardwalk and Hunt's Pier; Playland Pier; Shawcreast Yacht Cabin; World's Finest Safest Bathing Beach. Plate is approx. 7 inches in diameter. Nice condition.

William McKinley Oval Bread Plate
Antique clear pressed glass oval bread plate with the likeness of Presisent William McKinley born 1843 died 1901. Laurel leaf pattern around rim. Has, 'It is Gods Way His Will Be Done'. Plate is approx. 8 x 10-5/8 inches. Hard to get decent photo. William McKinley was the 25th President of the United States. Nice historical collectible. Condition is great with no chips or cracks.


Sterling Silver Compact Purse
Sterling Silver compact - purse. Hammered texture body, monogrammed (can't make out initals), opens to reveal 2 coin holders, mirror, powder container, spring loaded money clip or card holder. Has link chain handle. . Well under mirror contains some powder and powder puff. Mirror in nice condition. Marked CW Sterling 765. Has original patina, needs polishing if you like it shiny. (3.5)

Shoe-Shaped Pocket Knife, Shoe Store Premium
A neat little 2-inch (closed) shoe-shaped pocket knife, probably a shoestore premium. Blade is marked Diamond Knife Co. Germany. This type of stuff is getting almost impossible to find anymore. Blade has some surface rust, haven't tried to clean it. A super little collectible.


Victorian Photo Locket
Victorian locket, probably gold filled. Nice decorative engravings. Holds two small photos. Has photo of a man it it. Locket is approx. 1-1/8 inches in diameter. Has a small dent, but still a great piece. Actual piece is more of a gold color. Nice collectible locket.
