Thought they could trick me by shrinking the ice cream containers, once upon a time a half gallon container had 2 quarts of ice cream in it. Then they changed the size to 1.75 Qts. but saved the look. Now I see that the container only has 1.5o Qts. marked on the side, but the container still looks the same and so does the price. Tricky they are. It's not good for those that exist to eat ice cream.

Ok enough of that, hit a few yard sales on Saturday not much happening, pickings are gittin' slim. But managed to spend some money anyhow.

Was off to the flea market early this morn, when I got there it was pretty empty, checked my calendar and saw it was the correct day. Parked in a spot where the sun would be behind the van and I would have some shade. Took a walk and ended up spending about 75 bucks on purchases. No treasures though. Set up about 7am sold goodies until about 11:30 and zipped outta there.

Had my standard bowl of midday ice cream, browsed through the newspaper and proceeded to do some online work. And added some more fine pieces of merchandise to the shop.

Guess I have to start getting some goodies together for my upcomingconsignment auction on September 13th, before it zips up on me.

Vintage Shaving Brush, Green & Black Bakelite Handle
Vintage Ever Ready #150 shaving brush with green and black bakelite handle. Nice condition.


Glass Piggy Bank New England Syrup Co.
A vintage glass piggy bank from the New England Syrup Co. The bank is about 7-1/4 inches tall. Has screw on top with coin slot that has been painted. Marked 'Piggy Bank' on bottom. Nice condition.


Woodworkers, Carpenters Saw Rasp
Woodworkers, carpenters saw rasp. Constructed from a series of six saw blade style teeth. Coarse teeth on one side and fine on the other.Has red wooden handle with SW 'Topspec' No. SW 670G.


Sterling Silver Carving Knife and Meat Holder
Nice carving knife and meat holder with sterling silver handles. The carving knife is about 13-1/2 inches long, marked 'Sterling' on the handle and Ambassador Cutlery Mfg. Co. Sheffield, England on the blade. The meat, roast or poultry holder is marked 'Sterling' on the handle. Both in nice condition, could use a little polishing.


Sterling Silver Pie Server, Fancy Blade
Nice sterling silver pie server with fancy blade. The pie server is about 12 inches long. Was made by the Ambassador Cutlery Mfg. Co. Sheffield, England. Nice condition, could use a little polishing.


Rich's Canton Ginger Advertising Tin
Old tin advertising Rich's Crystallized Canton Ginger. Manufactured by E.C. Rich Inc. New York. 3oz. size, 2-5/8 x 4-1/2 inches. Has wear and scratches.


Ex - Lax tin, Fig Flavor Tin
Vintage Ex - Lax tin, Fig Flavor For Relief of Constipation. Held 16 tablets. 3-3/4 x 2-1/4 x 1 inch in size. Has some wear and scratches, still nice addition to your medicine or drugstore display.
