Hi all, not a real exciting week so far, Monday was just a regular day around here, go to the post office and ship weekend orders, sort stuff, take photos, add merch to the shops and stuff like that. Tuesday had a doctors appointment (all looks good), visited a friend of Jans in the hospital etc. Actually that covered a good part of the day.
Today was basically the same. Work, work and work some more. Did some SEO work on the shop and sorted some items for Saturdays auction. Oh, I did find a neat piece while digging through a box of goodies from back when. An early steel eraser or ink scraper, that's the fun part of digging I my hoard, but it's getting smaller.
Oh and todays cat is "Raven" the oldest one.

Booklet about Long Island State Parks put out in the 1940's by the Long Island State Park Commission. 16 pages of pictures with a color map of Western Part of Long Island. Has some water stains etc. Some damage to the cover. Approx. 8 x 9 inches in size. More vintage paper collectibles.

Georgian House Asbury Park, N.J. Swizzle Sticks
A couple of advertising swizzle sticks or drink stirrers from The Georgian House on RT. 35 Asbury Park, N.J. Don't think it is there anymore. Nice addition to your Asbury Park collection. 
Edaville Railroad Souvenir Charm
Enameled souvenir charm from the Edaville Railroad, So. Carver, Mass. Locomotive in the center. About 3/4 inch in diameter.

19th Century Steel Eraser
Early 19th Century steel eraser or dried ink remover knife. Both edges of blade are sharpened one edge has chips. The tang is stamped "J. Rodgers & Sons, 6 Norfolk St. Sheffield" on one side; and backside is marked with a 6-pointed star & Maltese cross, which denoted manufacturing period of 1764 to 1830. The knife has a smooth bone handle.
Parchment and old-style paper was less absorbent than modern paper, so mistakes made in ink were allowed to dry, then scraped-off surface of document. The knife is approx. 6-1/2 inches long. Great go with for your vintage pen collection.
