Vintage Salt and Peppers, Renwal Dollhouse Furniture, Collectible Stuff

Got myself up nice an early this morning like 4am, headed for the market about 4:30, stopped for a container of coffee and proceeded to the flea market. Real nice out, said to myself gonna be a nice day.

About 10 minutes away from the market there was a bright flash of lightning and a clap of thunder that if I didn't have my seat belts on I would have jumped through the roof of the van. And then it poured, I mean this was serious rain, wipers going full speed and still couldn't see much. Then it slowed down a bit as I got to the market. Pulled down to the back of the market where I normally setup, radio said passing thunder storm, well it poured again for about a half hour, had to move to another spot because this is the lower part of the market and all of a sudden there was about a foot of water around the van. Moved to a different area on higher ground and waited it out. Rain was on and off for about another half hour. Finally stopped, a few people put some stuff out and slowly more dealers arrived.

Bought a bunch of stuff and decided that it looked safe to set up, by this time it was about 7am. About half of the dealers were there and about a third of the crowd, of course it was the wrong third, the "how much is that crowd", the ones that left their wallets home bunch. Manage to extract a few bucks from a few but won't say it paid to be there. Luckily I bought a few things that should show a profit.

Of course after the rain, the sun popped out the humidity went nuts and it shot up to the 80's in about 20 minutes, set up two tables of easy repack stuff and hung out until about 12:30. Things will get better, right? One thing about this business is ya never know what's gonna happen.

A few new additions to the shop: Yep, more salt and peppers.

Vintage Television Salt and Pepper Shakers
A neat 1960's vintage television salt / pepper shaker set. Ivory and gold colored. Twist the knob and shakers pop up from the top. 3 inches high and 3-1/2 inches wide.

Wooden Men Salt and Pepper Shakers
Pair of wooden men salt and pepper shakers. One wearing a white jacket and hat the other is wearing red. Made in Japan paper labels. About 4 inches tall. Nice condition.

BBQ Grill Salt and Pepper Shakers
Vintage 1958 BBQ Grill Salt and Pepper Shakers. The grill is plastic with a space under the grill. It is 4-7/8 inches tall and marked 1958, Rubicon, USA. The shakers are glass and have chef's hat tops. Very nice condition.

1950's Mixer Salt and Pepper Shakers
Vintage 1950's black and white mixer Salt and Pepper shakers. The mixer looks like the old Sunbeam Mixer. The beaters are the shakers, mixer head tilts up, includes the plastic bowl. Marked Pat. Pending.

Old Time Car Salt and Pepper Set
Neat vintage old time car with driver and passenger which are the salt and pepper shakers. Wheels turn, even has a windshield. Made in USA.
